Today, Nissan Canada Inc. announced two exciting Canadian debuts for the 2011 Canadian International Auto Show. The all-new 2011 Nissan Quest is an entirely new take on the compact van and the eye-catching Nissan Ellure Concept is the sedan re-imagined. Making its highly-anticipated debut in Ontario is the zero-emission, all-electric Nissan LEAF, which will go on sale this fall.
“Last fall we launched Nissan’s Innovation for All platform and our line-up in Toronto will showcase this with something for everyone,” said Allen Childs, President, Nissan Canada Inc. “From family fun and the first all-electric real-world car, to the raw power of the 2012 Nissan GT-R supercar, the Nissan booth is an exciting place to be this year.”
The Nissan Quest returns to the line-up in 2011 fully re-designed with family fun and functionality top of mind. One-touch power sliding doors, quick release fold-flat seats, rearview camera, an Advanced Climate Control System and rear storage, are just a few of the exciting family-friendly innovations to grace the fourth-generation Nissan Quest.
The Nissan Ellure Concept is an expression of Nissan’s long-term vision for the next generation of great Nissan sedans. Ellure presents a conceptual preview of how future Nissan sedans can balance the conflicting desires for fun-to-drive performance, ample passenger/luggage utility and sustainable mobility. Ellure’s dimensions combine the basic layout of a traditional mid-size sedan with a next-generation compact hybrid powertrain, providing a wide, stable stance with ample interior room and a highly functional trunk – despite the smooth aerodynamic form.
The 2011 Nissan LEAF™ is the world’s first affordable, zero-emission car that will usher in a new era of mobility when it goes on sale in Canada later this year. Using no gas and with no tailpipe, Nissan LEAF is a medium-size hatchback that seats five adults comfortably and has a range of 160 kilometres (EPA LA4 cycle) on one full charge to satisfy real-world consumer needs.
In addition, Nissan will have its complete lineup on display including the Nissan NV 2500, its full-size commercial van coming to the Canadian market this spring, the NISMO 370Z which arrives for the first time in Canada this spring and the more powerful 2012 GT-R Black Edition.
