As Director of Marketing for Nissan Canada Inc., Brian Thomas is responsible for all planning and implementation of marketing communications and media for National, Retail, Digital, CRM, Social Sponsorships and Autoshows. He also oversees the product planning, and day-to-day market actions and intelligence on Nissan products versus its competition.
Thomas joined Nissan in 2013 from Volkswagen of America where he most recently held the position of Executive General Manager, Brand Experience and Dealer Integration. In this role he was responsible for Experiential Marketing strategy and execution including the auto show program, events, sponsorships and partnerships, as well as dealer integration programs. Previous to his current role, he held the position of General Manager, Brand Marketing.
Thomas began his automotive career at DaimlerChrysler, holding various marketing positions responsible for Dodge and Jeep.
He holds a Master of Business Administration from Michigan State University Business School, as well as a Bachelor of Business Administration from the University of Michigan.
