Making the spectacle, passion and excitement of this year's Le Mans 24 Hours more accessible than ever before, Nissan is set to bring to life the magic of La Sarthe. Through Facebook, Twitter, YouTube and live streaming, enthusiasts can keep track and interact with the most innovative projects at Le Mans both on-site at the circuit or following the famous French endurance race online.

Nissan's presence at Le Mans this year is bigger and better than ever before, with 13 of 20 LMP2 class cars choosing to run with Nissan power, the hugely innovative Nissan DeltaWing pointing towards a radical new future for motorsport, entertainment for the crowds through the Company's partnership with Ministry of Sound and exciting new models on display.

Fans will have the opportunity to keep up to date with Nissan's involvement in the race in real time through its social media channels at http://www.facebook.com/NissanSportsCars, and @Nissan_OnTrack on Twitter. Meanwhile, a rolling program of videos charting the great race will be available throughout the weekend at http://www.youtube.com/user/nissanineurope.

All of Nissan's activities at Le Mans will be summarized at a glance in a specially created Infographic, making it easy for everyone to find the perfect channel to follow.

Reflecting the innovation on track, a world first crowd-sourced film will chart the Nissan DeltaWing's very first racing lap. Fans of the Nissan Sports Cars Facebook page will be asked to step forward and use their phones to film the ground-breaking racer's progress throughout its opening lap. The clips will then be stitched together to mark a momentous happening in global motorsport.

Anyone present in Le Mans will have the opportunity to ‘check-in' at any time and engage with the social media team one-on-one on site with announcements on Radio Le Mans, Facebook and Twitter. Engaging using social media at Le Mans will allow visitors to take advantage of special on-site surprises - all will be revealed over the legendary endurance race weekend...

As well as onboard video of the Nissan DeltaWing lapping the Le Mans circuit, a fly on the wall view of the Garage 56 pit area will be streamed from three different angles. A hand-held camera in the midst of the garage activity will put viewers in amongst all the action, capturing on the spot interviews with drivers and key race team personnel.
