Nissan Canada Inc. (NCI) reported today its best March on record with 9,417 units sold, an increase of 10.1 per cent over March 2011, supported by five months of uninterrupted, double-digit sales growth. The Nissan brand also achieved its best March ever, with 8,535 units sold, up 10.5 per cent, while Infiniti accomplished a sales increase of 6.7 per cent, with 882 units sold.

Nissan Rogue, one of the most popular models in its segment, led Nissan sales again this month reaching a best-ever sales record of 2,227 units sold (up 61.0 per cent). Sales of the Altima and Versa rounded out the top three with 1,473 and 1,355 units sold, respectively, while sales of 370Z, Maxima, and JUKE all soared in March (95.6, 35.2, and 25.7 per cent, respectively). Nissan's truck lineup also thrived in March, with sales of the Frontier and Titan increasing over March 2011 by 38.9 per cent and 30.4 per cent respectively.

Infiniti reported sales of 882 units, up by 6.7 per cent over March 2011. Calendar year-to-date, Infiniti sales are up 12.4 per cent. The G line-up recorded its best March on record with 575 units sold, an increase of 20.8 per cent versus March 2011. Later this spring, Infiniti dealerships across Canada will welcome the latest addition to the roster - the all-new Infiniti JX luxury crossover which boasts a plethora of best-in-class features.

The Rogue has long been a favourite in the competitive Canadian crossover segment, largely attributed to its excellent fuel-efficiency, interior spaciousness, and innovative features, including Around View® Monitor."
