MISSISSAUGA, ON – Nissan Canada Inc. (NCI) today reported record sales of 47,105 units for the first half of 2012, up 8.1 per cent over the same period last year, and the second-best month on record with 9,872 units sold. Infiniti is tracking up 23.4 per cent for the year with 4,005 units sold, while sales of Nissan total 43,100 units, up 6.9 per cent CYTD.

With sales of 9,116 units across the Nissan line-up, several models recorded best-ever months in June including the Nissan NV commercial vehicle line-up with 131 units sold, up 138.2 per cent over June 2011. Nissan pick-up trucks continued to break records with best-ever months for the Titan (388 units, up 148.7 per cent) and Frontier (368 units, up 25.2 per cent). With 580 units sold in June (up 45.7 per cent), Nissan Juke broke its previous monthly sales records.

Nissan's popular crossovers recorded best-ever June sales with Rogue and Murano sales totalling 1,423 and 676 units, respectively (up 78.1 and 190.1 per cent). Nissan Armada also had a record June with 74 units sold, up 42.3 per cent. Sales of Quest and Maxima jumped 150.8 and 88.2 per cent, respectively, while Nissan's iconic sports cars were high in demand with GT-R and 370Z sales up 325.0 and 140.4 per cent, over the same month last year.

Infiniti sales are up 24.5 per cent in June with 756 units sold, and are tracking up 23.4 per cent CYTD. The all-new Infiniti JX luxury crossover remains the most popular vehicle in the Infiniti line-up with 352 units sold in June.
