Nissan AVM to Net Deep Insights from the Ocean Floor

YOKOHAMA, JAPAN (Apr. 9) Nissan working with Japan Agency for Marine-Earth Science and Technology (JAMSTEC) and TOPY Industries in licensing tie-up. Diving up to a kilometer below the ocean's surface, the robotic crawler is on an undersea expedition to reveal secrets of "inner space." The crawler's "eyes" are cameras mounted on its four corners. The four views from these cameras are combined into a single bird's eye view by Nissan's AVM - Around View Monitor - technology.
