Carlos Ghosn, president and CEO of Nissan Motor Co., Ltd., today announced the Japanese carmaker’s launch timetable for the latest vehicle automation technologies aimed at accelerating consumer adoption of Autonomous Drive systems.
The Renault-Nissan Alliance posted record synergies of 2.87 billion euros in 2013, up from 2.69 billion euros in the previous year. Purchasing, powertrain and vehicle engineering remained the biggest contributors as the Alliance geared up for the launch of its first Common Module Family (CMF) vehicles.
Nissan has again risen in the ranks of the world's greenest brands. The company improved its position to fourth place in Interbrand's Best Global Green Brands report, up from fifth last year. The survey cited Nissan's leadership in electric vehicles, ambitious EV infrastructure plan and its support for the sustainability goals of governments.
