Nissan Motor Co., Ltd. today announced its production, sales and export figures for July 2016. Nissan's global production in July increased 7.2 percent year-on-year to 403,517 units, the sixth consecutive month of increase.
"For the First Quarter of FY2016, Nissan is reporting solid financial results despite currency headwinds and continued volatility in the emerging-markets. Healthy demand for our core products in North America and Western Europe and our continued focus on cost efficiencies contributed to improvement in the underlying business performance, which has offset most of the negative FX headwinds, which have been significant."
Nissan announced today European sales for May of 58,341 units (Nissan and Datsun), representing a market share of 3.5 percent. Calendar year sales to date total 317,328 units with a market share of 3.9 percent.
