Nissan U.S. sales in October increased 14.2 percent to 91,018, up from last year’s total of 79,865. Nissan Division sales also set an October record with 81,866 deliveries, a 15.4 percent increase over the prior year.
Nissan U.S. sales in September totaled 86,868, down 5.5 percent from last year's total of 91,907. Nissan Division sales finished at 77,828 units, a decrease of 5.6 percent. Sales of Infiniti vehicles totaled 9,040 units, down 4.3 percent.
Nissan set a new July record with U.S. sales of 109,041 deliveries, an increase of 10.9 percent over 98,341 units a year earlier. Nissan Division also set a new July record with 101,279 sales, up 16.8 percent and led by record July performances by Altima, Versa, Pathfinder and Rogue. Sales of Infiniti vehicles in July totaled 7,762, as the brand prepares for the launch of the all-new Infiniti Q50 sports sedan.
Driven by demand for its highest-volume models, Nissan U.S. sales in June totaled 104,124, an increase of 12.9 percent over 92,237 units a year earlier. This marks the company's best-ever June U.S. sales performance. Nissan Division sales increased 16.1 percent to 95,010 units, also a June record. Sales of Infiniti vehicles in June totaled 9,114 units.
Strong gains by top-selling Nissan models such as Altima, Pathfinder, Sentra and Rogue helped Nissan North America set a new May U.S. sales record with 114,457 deliveries, an increase of 24.7 percent over May 2012. The Nissan division also set a new May record, with 106,558 sales, up 31.2 percent over last year. Infiniti sales in May totaled 7,899, led by the best-ever month for the JX crossover.
After the all-electric Nissan LEAF's best sales month ever in March and a 423.5 percent year-over-year sales increase in April, Nissan LEAF continues to make history by crossing the 25,000 sales threshold, reinforcing LEAF's position as the world's best-selling electric vehicle.
