Among the 2013 Altima's many attributes are best-in-segment fuel economy of 38 mpg highway (2.5-liter engine), new premium exterior styling with a strong presence and excellent aerodynamics, an upscale interior with premium materials, and an outstanding balance of ride comfort, stability and a fun-to-drive demeanor with projected best-level acceleration. The 2012 Nissan LEAF continues to expand its presence in the U.S. and around the world. Now offered in all 50 states, local production will begin in late 2012 in Smyrna, Tenn. As a medium-size hatchback that seats five adults comfortably, LEAF is a practical driver for everyday use. It has a range of up to 100 miles (U.S. LA4 cycle) on one full charge, satisfying real-world consumer requirements. LEAF is powered by a lithium-ion battery composed of 48 compact modules and a high-response 80kW AC synchronous motor generating 107 horsepower and 207 lb-ft of torque. This combination provides a highly responsive, fun-to-drive experience that is in keeping with what consumers have come to expect from traditional, gasoline-powered vehicles. Unlike internal-combustion engine-equipped vehicles, LEAF's powertrain has no tailpipe and thus no emission of CO2 or other greenhouse gases while being driven. The Nissan LEAF can be charged up to 80 percent of its full capacity in 30 minutes when equipped with a quick charge port and using a DC fast charger. Charging at home through a 220V outlet is estimated to take approximately seven hours. The advanced lithium-ion battery pack carries an industry-competitive warranty of 8 years or 100,000 miles. The LEAF SL includes a photovoltaic solar panel spoiler that supports charging of the 12-volt battery for car accessories. 2013 NISSAN SPORTS CARS 2013 Nissan GT-RFollowing a major revision just last year, the Nissan GT-R is enters its fifth year of production in 2013 with more horsepower and torque. Engine efficiency of the advanced VR38DETT 3.8-liter twin turbo V6 has been improved, which helps raise horsepower to 545 hp (versus the previous 530 horsepower) and torque to 463 lb-ft (versus the previous 448 lb-ft). Each engine is hand-assembled in a special clean room. The engine is once again matched with a high-performance 6-speed dual-clutch transmission. Other 2013 model year enhancements include the addition of a new blue lighting treatment inside the tachometer ring to match the shift position indicator light, helping provide a more sophisticated cockpit atmosphere, and a RearView Monitor is now standard on all models. The Nissan GT-R is built on an exclusive Premium Midship platform, which enables the use of the world's first independent rear transaxle ATTESA E-TS all-wheel drive system. This system places the transmission, transfer case and final drive at the rear of the vehicle, optimizing weight distribution and maximizing handling capability. The suspension has been retuned for 2013, while again utilizing a special Bilstein DampTronic system. The braking system consists of Brembo full-floating drilled rotors, low steel high stiffness brake pads and Brembo monoblock six-piston front and four-piston rear calipers. GT-R's interior balances functionality with a sense of ease and comfort. The 2013 Nissan GT-R is on sale now through approximately 650 official "GT-R certified" Nissan dealers across the United States. 2013 Nissan 370Z CoupeThe Nissan 370Z Coupe remains one of the most vibrant and dynamic sports cars available in North America. The 2013 370Z Coupe is again available in 370Z Coupe and 370Z Coupe Touring models and the NISMO 370Z (see below). Revisions for the new model year include a refined front fascia design with LED daytime running lights, a red reflector for rear fascia (replaces black center cover), new 18-inch aluminum-alloy wheel design and new 19-inch aluminum-alloy wheel design with Sport Package. The Sport Package also adds red finish caliper color and Euro-tuned sport shocks. Two new exterior colors are offered Midnight Blue and Magma Red. The 370Z and 370Z Touring are each available with a standard 332-horsepower 3.7-liter DOHC V6 engine with Variable Valve Event and Lift Control (VVEL) and choice of 6-speed manual transmission with an available SynchroRev Match® synchronized downshift rev matching system or a 7-speed automatic transmission with paddle shifters. Offered for both personal and fleet use, the 4-row/12-passenger Nissan NV3500 HD features the most flexible seating configurations in the full-size passenger van segment, along with segment-exclusive roof-mounted curtain supplemental air bags for side-impact and rollover head protection for all outboard passengers, and standard headrests and integrated seat belts for all rear seating positions. Enhancements for 2013 include vinyl seat wear patch added to inside bolster of front row cloth seats (in addition to outside bolster) and a revised exterior color selection with three new colors: Glacier White, Graphite Blue, Midnight Garnet (six colors total). The NV3500 HD Passenger Van is offered in a choice of two engines, a 261-horsepower DOHC 24-valve 4.0-liter V6 with 281 lb-ft of torque or a 317-horsepower DOHC 32-valve V8 with 385 lb-ft of torque. Both engines include Nissan's Continuous Valve Timing Control (C-VTC) for improved efficiency and are matched with a refined, heavy-duty 5-speed automatic transmission. The Nissan NV3500 HD Passenger Van is built on a foundation of a rugged heavy-duty, fully boxed ladder frame. It also features an independent double wishbone front suspension with twin-tube coil-over shocks, solid rear axle with rigid leaf springs, heavy-duty disc brakes with Anti-lock Braking System (ABS), and engine-speed-sensitive power steering. Also standard is a 28-gallon fuel tank. In addition, the Nissan NV3500 features SUV-like maneuverability and easy access for serviceability due to its pickup truck-like front engine/full hood design. The 2013 Nissan NV3500 HD Passenger Van is offered in three well-equipped models, the NV3500 HD S, the NV3500 HD SV, and NV3500 HD SL (V8 engine only). It goes on sale in October 2012.
