Zero Emissions, Zero Excise Taxes

Puerto Rico Governor Luis Fortuño (right) and Ken Ramirez, vice president and managing director of Nissan Latin America and the Caribbean, signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) in 2011 to explore the prospects of zero emissions mobility in Puerto Rico. On August 23, Governor Fortuño amended a law to eliminates excise taxes on electric vehicles.
