Nissan Americas today announced that Maria Eugenia Santiago has been named director, Corporate Communications, Nissan Mexicana (NMEX) and Nissan Latin America (NLAC). In this newly created role, which combines NMEX and NLAC Communications, she will oversee all Nissan Americas communications activity south of the U.S., excluding Brazil. Santiago will be based in Mexico City and dual report to Jose Munoz, president, NMEX, and David Reuter, vice president, Corporate Communications, Nissan Americas.

Santiago joins Nissan from Johnson Controls, Inc., where she was Communications director. She brings more than 15 years of diverse communications expertise to her new role including both agency and client-side experience across automotive, consumer household products and technology industries.
