Nissan Posts 6,637 Units Sold in April in Brazil

  • The Frontier pick-up stands out, with a 12% increase
  • Year-to-date April, the brand sold 25,181 cars and accounted for 2.3% of market share

RIO DE JANEIRO – NBA reported April sales of 6,636 vehicles. The Frontier pick-up stands out with 1,424 units sold, representing an increase of 12% versus same period last year. Year-to-date April, the brand sold 25,181 cars and posted 2.3% of market share.

In April, the brand had a superior commercial performance in Sao Paulo (SP) with 3.2% of market share, in Porto Alegre (RS) with 3%, in Rio de Janeiro (RJ) with 2.9%, and in Goiânia (GO) with 2.8%.

APRIL HIGHLIGHTS

Frontier – With 1,424 units sold, the pick-up truck accounted for 9.1% of market share

Versa – The compact sedan totaled 1,840 units sold

March – The compact hatchback sold 1,825 units

Dealers – Nissan do Brasil ended April with 165 dealer outlets

This vehicle fleet will favor clean energy models (ethanol or electricity), in order to back the efforts of the Rio 2016™ Organizing Committee to meet the Games’ environmental goals.
