Nissan launches Interactive Brochure Hub app

Interactive Brochure Hub

NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Nissan today released a new Interactive Brochure Hub app, available initially for use on tablets (iOS and select Android devices), which allows buyers to learn detailed information about any Nissan vehicle of their choice. The new no-charge app was developed in-tune with growing consumer consumption of digital media on mobile devices. Visit www.nissanusa.com/request-brochure on your tablet for a link to the downloadable app; a smartphone version of the app is planned for the coming year.

According to the J.D. Power 2012-2015 New Auto Shopper Study, more than 50 percent of shoppers now use a mobile device to research a vehicle purchase. The new Nissan Interactive Brochure Hub app puts the brand's entire vehicle lineup at the shopper's fingertips, with interactive content that delivers an immersive digital experience.

"Millennials especially are moving away from desktop computers to tablets and smartphones exclusively to connect online," said Jeremy Tucker, vice president, Marketing Communications & Media at Nissan North America. "This new app helps us be wherever the buyers are, with the information they need to make informed purchase decisions."

Nissan is coming off record-setting sales in November, and launches this interactive Brochure Hub heading into the holiday shopping season. This is the first automotive app that simplifies the shopping process by breaking it down and organizing content into the "Why" and "Which" of choosing a vehicle. The "Why" section includes the full product story, covering the key features and innovations that help convince a shopper to consider a Nissan over the competition. The "Which" section guides the shopper through the trim levels, color and interiors, packages, accessories and full specs – all the information they need to find just the right model for them. It can be used for configuring their vehicle online or when visiting a Nissan dealership.

The new app brings the rich storytelling of a printed brochure to life with videos, demos, color selectors and more, all with easy navigation. Videos integrated into the stories help explain features and benefits. Shoppers can also find all the relevant videos in one location. For example, interactive tap-and-click animations help demonstrate technologies such as the Advanced Drive-Assist Display, or let the user personalize their car with JUKE Color Studio, or learn about the components of the TITAN XD chassis.

"The Interactive Brochure Hub app delivers on Nissan's brand promise of innovation and excitement for everyone," added Tucker. "Particularly as a new generation of car buyers approach vehicle ownership, this app transforms how consumers research and shop for a new vehicle, with the clearest, most transparent presentation of vehicle options and trim levels we've ever offered."

Once a consumer builds and selects a vehicle that they would like to purchase on the app, there is a link out to www.nissanusa.com where they can price the vehicle and connect with a local Nissan dealer.
