Altima and Pathfinder among several Nissan vehicles named "2014 Most Popular on Edmunds.com"

2014 Nissan Pathfinder

NASHVILLE, Tenn. – The Nissan Altima and Nissan Pathfinder feature advanced NissanConnectSM systems to help drivers avoid crowded roads, but both are generating heavy traffic on the Internet. Today, Edmunds.com named the Nissan Altima as one of its "2014 Most Popular on Edmunds.com Midsize Cars," and the Nissan Pathfinder as one of its "2014 Most Popular on Edmunds.com Midsize Traditional SUVs."

The "2014 Most Popular on Edmunds.com" awards were given to the three models in each of 23 vehicle segments that had the highest total monthly car-shopper consideration in calendar year 2013.  "Consideration" means the number of unique visitors during a calendar month to the research and inventory pages on Edmunds.com desktop site for each new model.

The Altima was one of three vehicles with the highest car-shopper consideration in the midsize car segment, while the Pathfinder was one of the three highest in the midsize traditional SUV segment.

"The fact that potential customers are searching for the Altima and Pathfinder on Edmunds.com at a rate that earned them  Most Popular on Edmunds.com awards is another indicator that these vehicles are, and will continue to be, among the top vehicles of their respective classes," said Dan Mohnke, vice president, Nissan Chief Marketing Manager & Marketing Operations. "Though we're usually focused on making it simple for our customers to avoid heavy traffic with features like NissanConnectSM technology, this is one instance where we'll gladly make an exception. We're honored to have several of our vehicles named '2014 Most Popular on Edmunds.com'."
