Following a grueling 10-day adventure through the Last Frontier State, the crowd-sourced, fully outfitted 2014 Nissan Titan PRO-4X® proved an excellent companion for its pilots, Wounded Warrior Project® Alumni David Guzman and Kevin McMahon. Guzman and McMahon were welcomed back to the Lower 48 during the fair's media day today.

"We're proud and extremely excited to welcome home a pair of our nation's heroes from the trip of a lifetime," said Phil O'Connor, director and chief marketing manager, Nissan North America, Inc. "Project Titan was made possible thanks to the tremendous effort of so many people – including our dedicated Nissan Trucks Facebook fans who helped put this beast together – and we can think of no better place to celebrate this rewarding journey than in Texas, where people truly love their trucks. We are proud to welcome home Wounded Warrior Project Alumni David and Kevin and to give the public an opportunity to check out the awesome Nissan Titan that took them on their adventure."

As was expected, the two veterans encountered harsh weather conditions, difficult terrain and a multitude of obstacles throughout the expedition, but the robust, specially equipped* Titan had the answer to every challenge thrown their way.

"We were a little nervous coming into the trip because we really had no idea what to expect out in the middle-of-nowhere Alaska," said Guzman. "But as soon as we got going, we felt right at home and never doubted that Project Titan would be more than capable of performing whatever we needed it to."

McMahon echoed a similar sentiment.

"Project Titan was absolutely the perfect vehicle for this incredible journey through the Alaskan countryside," said McMahon. "From towing ability to camping needs to the very best electronic equipment, Project Titan had it all. David and I feel fortunate to have been a part of this unbelievable adventure that we'll remember for the rest of our lives."

Nissan documented the entire adventure on camera and a YouTube series is set to launch later this fall. For a detailed look at the team's thrilling journey through the Last Frontier, visit the Nissan Trucks Facebook page: Facebook.com/nissantrucks.

Project Titan is Nissan's second crowd-sourced vehicle project, following the automaker's Project 370Z performance build in 2012. For detailed photos, video and a history of the vehicle, as well as a complete list of modifications to Project Titan, visit NissanNews.com.
