Nissan reports September 2015 sales for Europe

ROLLE, Switzerland – Nissan announced today European retail sales for September of 77,720 units (Nissan and Datsun), representing a market share of 4.5 percent.

 September highlights:

  • Nissan UK recorded September sales of 28,836 units marking the highest September market share at 5.5 percent. Qashqai was the fastest growing top-10 model in September with its volume up 48 percent.
  • Nissan France recorded its best ever September market share at 3.8 percent with 7,099 units sold.
  • Nissan Germany recorded sales of 6,942 units with a market share of 2.6 percent marking another month as bestselling Japanese brand.
  • Nissan Spain recorded September sales of 4,615 with a market share of 5.6 percent. Qashqai was the highest selling crossover with 17.5 percent of the market.
  • Nissan Italy recorded sales of 5,163 units in September with Nissan LEAF the highest selling electric car in the Italian market with cumulative sales of 327 units for the period Jan-September 2015.
  • Nissan Central East Europe recorded its best ever market share at 4.2 percent.
  • Datsun sales in Russia totaled 2,578 units.
