Yesterday, the all-new 2016 Nissan TITAN XD made a dramatic world debut at the North American International Auto Show in Michigan. This coming weekend, one of the very same TITAN XDs that commanded the stage in Detroit – a striking "SolarFlare Yellow" PRO-4X model - will make a special series of appearances more than 2,300 miles away in southern California for some special public showings.
The new Nissan TITAN is designed to be a warrior for "warriors" – both in look and in performance. That's according to the team at Nissan Design America (NDA) in San Diego, Calif. that played a major role in its creation. Nissan Design America explored the ancient roots of the name 'TITAN' in creating this vehicle, and both the front end and logo were inspired by the warrior helmets of antiquity.
As the covers were pulled off the 2016 Nissan TITAN XD full-size pickup at the 2015 North American International Auto Show, it was really two debuts in one – with the all-new Cummins 5.0L V8 Turbo Diesel engine being shown for the first time installed in a vehicle as well.
