First introduced in 2007, the Nissan Altima Hybrid offers all the style, convenience, comfort, quality feel and performance technology features and highlights of the best-selling fourth-generation Altima Sedan – while offering the added benefits of improved fuel economy and reduced emissions.
The 2008 Nissan Altima Hybrid blends an advanced electric motor/generator, Nickel Metal Hydride (Ni-MH) battery and hybrid management system with Nissan’s powerful 2.5-liter 4-cylinder QR25DE engine. The mating of the two produces a hybrid system net power of 198 horsepower (148 kW) and results in low emissions and enhanced fuel economy of 35 mpg City/33 mpg Highway – without compromising Altima’s responsive acceleration and performance.
Rated as an Advanced Technology-Partial Zero Emissions Vehicle (AT-PZEV), Altima Hybrid meets California emissions requirements and is sold in states that have adopted California emissions regulations: California, Connecticut, Maine, Massachusetts, New Jersey, New York, Rhode Island and Vermont.
Enhancements for the 2008 model year include the addition of standard splash guards and Diversity Antenna and available factory-activated XM® Satellite Radio (required monthly subscription, sold separately).
