The technology has since gone on to win the Grand Prix at this year's CEATEC Innovation Awards in Japan, and it has also begun testing publicly. Upon receiving a license plate to begin testing on public roads in Japan, it has been test driven by Japan's Prime Minister Shinzo Abe and other top officials.
