Save Remove Download Share Subscribe Photos / Galleries / Videos October 5, 2016 NISMO and Nissan Athletes are set for one of the biggest race weekends of the season with the Super GT Championship headed to Thailand, the annual Bathurst 1000 Supercars classic taking place at Mount Panorama in Australia, and the final round of the Pirelli World Challenge held at Laguna Seca in the U.S. Pirelli World Challenge In the U.S., the Pirelli World Challenge season will conclude at Laguna Seca with Bryan Heitkotter and James Davison. The Always Evolving/AIM Autosport squad enter this weekend after a strong weekend at Sonoma Raceway, and Heitkotter will be looking to add to his double victories scored two rounds ago in Salt Lake City. With two races remaining, the former GT Academy winner is in fifth place in the championship points. RACE WEEK! Previously, Nissan had taken victory in the opening four rounds of the championship in the GT 500 class. Nissan took the win here last year with Satoshi Motoyama and Masataka Yanagida victorious in the No.46 GT-R. Motoyama will welcome back his 2016 teammate Katsumasa Chiyo, who will return to Super GT action after recovering from his back injury. Hey #NISMOnation. The Nissan lineup at Bathurst will also include Rick Kelly/Russell Ingall, Todd Kelly/Matt Campbell, Michael Caruso/Dean Fiore and Dale Wood/David Russell.
