Nissan Design Chief to Reveal Unique Concept Car at Sao Paulo Motor Show

SAO PAULO – Shiro Nakamura, Senior Vice President and Chief Creative Officer of Nissan Motor Co., Ltd, is set to unveil a dramatic concept car at the 27th Sao Paulo International Motor Show (October 24 – November 4).

The new concept car has been designed by Nissan Design America in San Diego, California, under the direction by Shiro Nakamura. This is the first time that Nissan has created a car specifically for Brazil, by cooperation with Brazilian designers and built in Brazil.

"I'm so excited because I will be in Sao Paulo to reveal the concept car. It is the birth of something special for Nissan and it will be a hugely significant milestone in our plans for Brazil." said Shiro Nakamura.

Nakamura is responsible for overseeing the creation of distinctive and innovative design of Nissan, leading more than 800 staffs worldwide, and even managing global design strategy, mid-long term design plan. He is well known as one of the most celebrated Japanese car designer in the world.

This partnership includes the delivery of 4,500 vehicles of various types that will meet the needs of the Rio 2016 Olympic Games ™ and Team Brazil. This fleet will prioritize clean energy (ethanol or electricity), supporting the efforts of the Rio 2016™ to achieve the sustainability goals of the Games.
