Dana Hargitt is vice president, Components Engineering for Nissan Technical Center North America (NTCNA), Nissan North America, Inc., a position to which he was appointed in April 2012. In this role, Hargitt reports to Kunio Nakaguro, senior vice president, Research & Development (R&D) for Nissan North America, Inc. He is responsible for the design, development and testing of powertrain, HVAC, electrical, audio/IT, chassis and accessories.
Before being appointed to this position, Hargitt was director, Supplier Quality Assurance. Hargitt joined Nissan in 2010. Earlier in his career, he held executive and managerial positions at Toyota and GM.
Hargitt holds a bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from Kettering University. He is based at NTCNA in Farmington Hills, Mich.
