Gary Edwards is vice president, Powertrain Operations and Nissan Battery Plant, U.S., Nissan North America, Inc., a position to which he was appointed in April 2014. In this role, Edwards reports to John Martin, senior vice president, Manufacturing, Supply Chain Management and Purchasing, and is responsible for overseeing powertrain and battery plant operations in the U.S.
Previously, Edwards was director, Decherd Powertrain Engineering, Quality Assurance & Supplier Quality.
Edwards joined Nissan in 1983. Past Nissan roles include director, Powertrain Engineering in Decherd as well as extensive experience in manufacturing, operations, testing and inspection.
Before joining Nissan, Edwards worked in quality insurance with the Wilton Corporation from 1971 to 1983.
Edwards holds a BE degree in Engineering from Americus University. He is based at Nissan Decherd Powertrain Plant in Decherd, Tennessee.
