Chief Competitive Officer (CCO)

Hiroto Saikawa is chief competitive officer (CCO) in charge of leading global purchasing, manufacturing, supply chain management, R&D, and total customer satisfaction. In his role as the number two executive in the company, he chairs the Operations Committee and heads the China region. Saikawa reports to Mr. Carlos Ghosn, CEO.

Saikawa joined Nissan Motor Co., Ltd. in April, 1977. Some of his past Nissan executive experience includes: Representative Director, Executive Vice President, supervising Region : Japan, Asia, Purchasing, Sourcing Steering Committee (2012); Member of the Board of Directors and Executive Vice President, supervising Region : Japan, Asia, Purchasing (2011); and Member of the Board of Directors and Executive Vice President, supervising Purchasing, European Operations (2006).

Saikawa graduated from the Faculty of Economics, Tokyo University in 1977.
