Mike Steck is vice president, supply chain management for Nissan Americas. He oversees supply chain activities for all of Nissan's manufacturing facilities in the Americas region.
Steck came to Nissan in 1989 as an industrial engineer for body assembly plant operations at the Smyrna, Tenn., manufacturing facility. He joined the management team in 1995 in quality control. Steck then spent time as a manager in body assembly manufacturing and production control before being named director, supply chain management in 2002. In 2005, he was named senior director, human resources at Nissan's manufacturing facilities in Smyrna and Decherd, Tenn., and Canton, Miss. Steck was then appointed senior director in 2008 of talent management at NNA headquarters in Franklin, Tenn.
Prior to joining Nissan, Steck worked in engineering at the Wagner division of Cooper Industries in Sparta, Tenn.
Steck earned his bachelor's degree in industrial engineering from Tennessee Technological University in Cookeville. He serves on the board at StoneCrest Medical Center in Smyrna.
