Mike Steck is vice president, supply chain management for Nissan Americas. He oversees supply chain activities for all of Nissan and Infiniti production parts, service parts and finished vehicle distribution in the Americas region.
Mike came to Nissan in 1989 as an industrial engineer for body assembly plant operations at the Smyrna, Tenn., manufacturing facility. He joined the management team in 1995 as body assembly quality control manager. Mike was a manager in body assembly manufacturing and production control before being named director, supply chain management for Smyrna/Decherd/Canton manufacturing locations in 2002. In 2005, he was named senior director, Human Resources for Nissan's manufacturing facilities in Smyrna and Decherd, Tenn., and Canton, Miss. In 2008, Mike was appointed senior director of Talent Management at NNA headquarters in Franklin, Tenn.
Prior to joining Nissan, Steck worked in engineering at the Wagner division of Cooper Industries in Sparta, Tenn., an automotive brake and lighting supplier.
Steck earned his bachelor's degree in industrial engineering from Tennessee Technological University in Cookeville, Tenn. He has served on the board at StoneCrest Medical Center in Smyrna since 2006 and served as Chairman for three years.
