Mike Steck

Mike Steck is vice president, supply chain management, for Nissan U.S. He was appointed to this position in April 2009. In this role, Steck is responsible for overseeing supply chain activities for all production parts, service parts and finished vehicle distribution in the U.S. and Mexico.

Steck came to Nissan in 1989 as an industrial engineer for body assembly plant operations at the Smyrna, Tennessee, manufacturing facility. He joined the management team in 1995 as body assembly quality control manager. Steck was a manager in body assembly manufacturing and production control before being named director, supply chain management for Smyrna/Decherd/Canton manufacturing locations in 2002.

In 2005, he was named senior director, Human Resources, for Nissan's manufacturing facilities in Smyrna and Decherd, Tennessee, and Canton, Mississippi. In 2008, Mike was appointed senior director of Talent Management at NNA headquarters in Franklin, Tennessee.

Prior to joining Nissan, Steck worked in engineering at the Wagner division of Cooper Industries in Sparta, Tennessee, an automotive brake and lighting supplier.

Steck has a bachelor's degree in industrial engineering from Tennessee Technological University in Cookeville, Tennessee. He has served on the board at StoneCrest Medical Center in Smyrna and was Chairman for three years.
