What's New – February 2017
This update on the 2017 Nissan product lineup focuses on maintaining momentum. After record U.S. sales of more than 1.5 million units for calendar year 2016 – an increase of 5.4 percent, making Nissan the fastest growing brand in the industry – Nissan powers into 2017 with a pair of major new model introductions and enhancements to many other key models.

The new year kicked off strong with the launch of the 2017 Rogue Sport at the North American International Auto Show. Arriving in dealer showrooms this spring, Rogue Sport shares many of the design, utility and technology attributes that have made Rogue Nissan's best-selling vehicle in the United States, but is slightly smaller, sportier and more affordable for younger, urban SUV buyers. As fitting of the Rogue Sport name, its fun-to-drive performance credentials are achieved by a combination of a 141-horsepower 2.0-liter DOHC 16-valve inline 4-cylinder engine, latest-generation Xtronic with Eco Mode switch and a 4-wheel independent suspension.

The Chicago Auto Show served up the world debut of the new King Cab body configuration for the TITAN and TITAN XD. The new King Cab is marked by its available 6-person seating, wide-opening rear doors and available "rear seat delete" option that is ideal for commercial use with its flat floor and secure in-cab storage space. With the addition of the King Cab to the previously available Crew Cab and Single Cab, Nissan now covers nearly every segment in the personal and commercial full-size truck markets.

Also debuting in Chicago were six dramatic new Midnight Edition models. Designed to add visual excitement, the new Midnight Editions of Sentra, Altima, Maxima, Rogue, Murano and Pathfinder share unique content – including black wheels, black mirror caps and available special floor mats, with additional equipment added by model.

Along with the Midnight Edition package, the 2017.5 Murano adds a number of new features – including the addition of Apple CarPlayTM and expanded availability of Driver Attention Alert.

As always, full information on all these vehicles is available online at NissanNews.com. And stay tuned for additional updates as they become available.

2017 Nissan Rogue Sport

2017 Nissan Rogue Sport Press Kit

The new Rogue Sport, the latest addition to the expanding Nissan SUV lineup, arrives in dealer showrooms in spring 2017. It is offered in front-wheel and intuitive all-wheel drive configurations, and in three well-equipped grade levels – S, SV and SL.

The exterior of the Rogue Sport features a distinctive "emotional geometry" design that combines a progressive, compact body with powerful fender volume and an aggressive, wheel-oriented stance that conveys a feeling of robust agility. In front, the V-motion grille is surrounded by signature Nissan lighting features, including LED Daytime Running Lights, available LED low-beam headlights with High Beam Assist (HBA) and available fog lights.

The new King Cab is marked by its available 6-person seating, wide-opening rear doors and available "rear seat delete" option that is ideal for commercial use with its flat floor and secure in-cab storage space.

Now, with the addition of the third body configuration, a half-ton TITAN, the new Endurance® V8, three bed lengths and a range of grade levels and equipment packages, Nissan covers nearly every segment in the personal and commercial full-size truck markets.

2017 Nissan Sentra NISMO

2017 Nissan Sentra NISMO Press Kit

The 2017 Sentra NISMO is the latest in a long line of compact Nissan performance sedans going back nearly 50 years to the Datsun 510 and the original Sentra SE-R. The first-ever Sentra NISMO is also the first mainstream U.S. Nissan model to offer motorsport-inspired NISMO factory-tuned performance. It joins the GT-R NISMO, 370Z NISMO, JUKE NISMO and JUKE NISMO RS in the 2017 Nissan lineup.

The 2017 Sentra NISMO model's motorsport-inspired exterior features NISMO signature "layered double wing" design treatments in the front, side and rear lower body panels, with thin red stripe accents in the lower panels. In front, a unique front fascia dominates, along with standard LED Daytime Running Lights, NISMO black grille and NISMO badge. Other unique styling features include unique side sills, NISMO rear fascia and spoiler, NISMO exhaust finisher, chrome door handles and trunk finisher, rear NISMO badge and black NISMO outside mirror caps with integrated turn signals and NISMO red stripe. The 2017 Sentra NISMO is offered in four exterior colors – Brilliant Silver, Gun Metallic, Super Black and Aspen White.

Inside, the Sentra NISMO interior is designed to support exciting driving – starting with unique NISMO front seats with logo and additional side bolstering. The rear seats feature unique cloth material with red stitching. Red motorsports-inspired accents are seen throughout the interior, including on the unique Alcantara and leather-wrapped steering wheel, the push button start with red start ring, NISMO meter cluster and red tachometer, leather shift knob and NISMO embroidered carpets. A dark headliner and NISMO logo on the instrument panel complete the special interior treatment. Just one interior color is offered, Charcoal with red accents.

As expected of any vehicle wearing the NISMO badge, the new Sentra NISMO offers ample power under the hood. The 1.6-liter Direct Injection Gasoline (DIGTM) turbocharged engine is rated at 188 horsepower and 177 lb-ft of torque. The 16-valve DOHC aluminum-alloy inline 4-cylinder engine includes a 10.5:1 compression ratio, a Continuously Variable Valve Timing Control System (CVTCS), spray-coated and mirror-finish cylinder bores and a variable pressure oil pump. The DIGTM system helps improve combustion, enhancing power, torque, economy and emissions, while use of the turbocharger and intercooler helps boost power. The variable timing control for both intake and exhaust cycles improves low-end engine response.

The engine is matched with choice of a 6-speed manual transmission, with gear ratios selected to take maximum advantage of the engine's powerband and torque curve, or an advanced, tuned Xtronic transmission. The Sentra NISMO also receives an enhanced body structure and NISMO-tuned steering and suspension tuning.

The NISMO-tuned independent strut front/rear torsion beam suspension goes beyond the SR Turbo's enhanced design (versus non-turbo Sentra grades) by adopting monotube rear dampers and unique tuning of the front springs and struts. The lightweight monotube shock design features separate oil and gas chambers and high-pressure gas charge to help provide quicker response to damper stroke and velocity changes. Faster damper response means faster reaction to changing steering or road conditions. In addition, NISMO tuning of the springs and struts helps improve body control (roll and pitch) for higher demand cornering.

Steering effort of the Electric Power Steering (EPS) system has also been specially tuned to provide a "NISMO feel." The special dialing in of the effort/response relationship helps provide good highway and winding road feedback, precise on-center definition without overly high driver effort and a linear, direct steering feel at turn-in.

Also contributing to the overall handling performance is the unique Sentra NISMO wheel and tire combination. Utilizing NISMO 18-inch aluminum-alloy wheels mounted with newly developed 215/45ZR18 Michelin Pilot Sport all-season tires, cornering power and grip levels are improved, even over the new Sentra SR Turbo. It is the first time 18-inch wheels and tires have been offered on a Sentra. For customers seeking maximum grip, high-performance 215/45WR18 Bridgestone Potenza RE-71R summer tires are available through Nissan dealers.

In addition to the new Sentra NISMO (6MT and Xtronic), the 2017 Nissan Sentra is offered in five other grade levels: Sentra S (6MT and Xtronic), SV (Xtronic), SR (Xtronic), SR Turbo (6MT and Xtronic) and SL (Xtronic).

The 2017 Sentra NISMO has a starting price of $24,9901 for both manual and Xtronic transmission-equipped models. It is on sale now at Nissan dealers nationwide.

1. MSRP excludes applicable tax, title, license fees and $865 USD destination charges. Dealer sets actual price.  Prices and specs are subject to change without notice.

2017 Nissan Versa Note Press Kit

2017 Nissan JUKE Black Pearl Edition

2017 Nissan JUKE Press Kit

Introduced at the 2016 Los Angeles Auto Show, the new JUKE Black Pearl Edition builds on success of the JUKE Color Studio personalization program, which allows buyers to customize the colors of select exterior and interior pieces. Production is limited to just 1,250 units – 1,000 to be sold in the United States and 250 in Canada.

Starting with a well-equipped JUKE SV (with a choice of front-wheel drive or all-wheel drive), the Black Pearl Edition provides aftermarket style personalization straight from the factory. It is the third such vehicle created by the JUKE Color Studio, following the previous "Yellow Stinger" and "Black Stinger" editions. "Black Pearl" also draws on Nissan heritage, reviving a name originally used on a limited edition 1978 280Z model.

The modifications to the Black Pearl Edition exterior begin up front with white bumper accents and white outside trim rings on the distinctive JUKE headlights. On the sides, white door handles and white caps for the heated outside rearview mirrors continue the theme, leading into the white rear spoiler and white accents on the rear bumper. A special Black Pearl Edition badge completes the exterior enhancements. Exclusive Super Black-painted 17-inch aluminum-alloy wheels mounted with 215/55R17 all-season tires complement the JUKE high stance and sporty driving position.

Inside, the Black Pearl Edition includes black cloth heated front seats with white inserts and stitching, white and black cloth door trim inserts and white power window switch finishers. The signature JUKE motorcycle-style center console is painted white, while the steering wheel features white stitching. Completing the high-contrast interior appearance are white air vent trim rings and white accents on the shift knob.

Like all 2017 JUKE models (non-NISMO), the Black Pearl Edition features a 1.6-liter Direct Injection Gasoline (DIGTM) Turbo, 16-valve DOHC aluminum-alloy inline 4-cylinder engine rated at 188 horsepower and 177 lb-ft of torque. One transmission is offered – Nissan's advanced Xtronic transmission with Manual Mode and D-step Logic Control that simulates shifts, giving a natural acceleration feeling.

In addition to the Black Pearl Edition, the 2017 Nissan JUKE sport cross is offered in a range of five exciting models – S, SV, SL, NISMO and NISMO RS. Each grade level is available in All-Wheel Drive or Front-Wheel Drive.

The 2017 JUKE Black Pearl Edition is on sale now at Nissan dealers nationwide.

2017 Nissan NV Cargo Van

2017 Nissan NV Cargo Van Press Kit

For 2017, the Nissan NV Cargo Van receives a new 5.6-liter Endurance® V8 gasoline engine, assembled in Decherd, Tenn., replacing the previous 317-horsepower V8, while a new heavy-duty 7-speed automatic transmission replaces the previous 5-speed automatic. The Endurance® V8 engine features four-valves per cylinder, Variable Valve Event & Lift and Direct Injection.

For use in the NV Cargo, the Endurance® V8 is rated at 375 horsepower and 387 lb-ft of torque – providing best-in-class1 horsepower and torque. Despite the increase in horsepower, the new powertrain also delivers an estimated2 eight percent increase in fuel economy versus the previous powertrain.

Also available with NV1500 and NV2500 models, as in previous years, is a fuel-efficient 4.0-liter V6 engine rated at 261 horsepower and 281 lb-ft of torque.

The 2017 Nissan NV Cargo Van provides exceptional utility thanks to a long, wide cargo floor, square-top wheelwell housings and nearly vertical sidewalls – room enough to fit two 40x48-inch pallets, 10-foot piping or 4x8-foot drywall sheets. Along with maximizing cargo space, the sidewalls accommodate aftermarket storage systems without excessive modification. The Nissan NV Cargo provides rugged body-on-frame construction across the entire lineup, including with a High Roof – the only van in the segment3 to offer this, providing most users the ability to walk, stand and work in the cargo area.

Inside the cab is a roomy, comfortable interior with wide, supportive seating and an expansive instrument panel. The front passenger seat includes a standard fold-down feature, providing a convenient worktable. An available lockable center console offers innovative storage compartments and space to hold binders, hanging file folders and a laptop computer.

The cargo area features a full-length inner panel to prevent cargo from denting the vehicle's outer skin (SV and SL models). There are also 57 interior integrated reinforced mounting points (to attach cargo customization equipment), which eliminates the need to drill into the sheet metal and reduces the risk of corrosion.

The 2017 JUKE NISMO and JUKE NISMO RS are a key part of the lineup of NISMO-branded factory performance machines in Nissan showrooms, adding affordable motorsports spirit and attitude to Nissan's popular JUKE sport crossover. The JUKE NISMO and JUKE NISMO RS are offered in a choice of front-wheel drive with 6-speed manual transmission or torque vectoring all-wheel drive with NISMO-tuned Xtronic transmission. The JUKE NISMO and NISMO RS are offered in three exterior colors: Super Black, Brilliant Silver and White Pearl.

Inside, the NISMO-style interiors combine dark finishes and red accents. The leather and Alcantara®-wrapped steering wheel designs include a racing-inspired red top-center marking, while the special sport front seats offer added support and comfort while cornering, along with embossed NISMO logos and red stitching. NISMO RS adds unique Recaro® front seats with embossed logos.

The JUKE NISMO RS includes unique engine, suspension, steering and brake tuning (versus the JUKE NISMO and standard JUKE grades). The JUKE NISMO RS increases the engine's performance to 215 horsepower (at 6,000 rpm) and 210 lb-ft of torque (from 3,600 to 4,800 rpm) for the 6-speed manual transmission-equipped front-wheel drive model. The JUKE NISMO RS AWD with Xtronic transmission is rated at 211 horsepower (at 6,000 rpm) and 184 lb-ft of torque (from 2,400 to 6,000 rpm).

Manual transmission-equipped NISMO RS models also offer a standard helical-geared Limited-Slip Differential (LSD) to direct more power to the front wheel with the most traction, helping maintain acceleration during cornering. It also helps reduce torque steer, adding to the sense of driving excitement.

The JUKE NISMO utilizes a 1.6-liter Direct Injection Gasoline (DIGTM) Turbo, 16-valve DOHC aluminum-alloy inline 4-cylinder engine rated at 188 horsepower and 177 lb-ft of torque (with both 6-speed manual and retuned Xtronic transmissions).

JUKE NISMO and JUKE NISMO RS AWD models come standard with the advanced torque vectoring AWD system, which splits torque up to 50:50 between the front and rear wheels and can also split torque from side-to-side across the rear axle. When cornering, the system helps reduce understeer and enhance the vehicle's cornering feel. NISMO-tuned suspensions and 18-inch lightweight aluminum-alloy wheels help give JUKE NISMO models an aggressive performance stance.

The 2017 JUKE NISMO and JUKE NISMO RS are on sale now at Nissan dealers nationwide.

2017 Nissan LEAF

2017 Nissan LEAF Press Kit

For 2017, Nissan offers the 30 kWh battery across all three trim levels – S, SV and SL –that was previously only available on LEAF SV and SL grades.

Along with the 100-mile plus range, the 30 kWh battery can be quick-charged to 80 percent (from the low battery charge warning) in about 30 minutes. Charging on a home charging system (Level 2, 240V) is estimated to take about six hours with the 6.6 kW onboard charger. The 30 kWh battery design adds capacity without increasing battery package size by improving the cell structure of the laminated lithium-ion battery cells. Improved electrode material with revised chemistry results in higher power density and enhanced battery durability upon charge and discharge.

All 2017 LEAF models feature a high-response, 80kW AC synchronous motor that generates 107 horsepower and 187 lb-ft of torque, providing a highly responsive, fun-to-drive experience that consumers often expect from traditional, gasoline-powered vehicles.

Nissan offers a limited warranty1 covering defects in materials or workmanship for eight years or 100,000 miles, whichever comes first, for the lithium-ion battery pack. Nissan also provides a limited warranty against battery capacity loss below nine bars of capacity as shown on the vehicle's battery capacity level gauge for the first eight years or 100,000 miles for all models.

The 2017 Nissan LEAF offers the space and range to meet every day needs while also providing an exceptional value proposition due to zero spending on gas, lower maintenance costs and a starting price after tax incentives competitive with a comparable gas-powered car.

For 2017, LEAF SV and SL grades include standard NissanConnectSM with Navigation – featuring a 7.0-inch color display with multi-touch control, Nissan Voice Recognition for navigation and audio, HD radio, SiriusXM® Traffic and SiriusXM® Travel LinkTM for weather, fuel prices, movie listings, stock info and sports (SiriusXM® subscription required, sold separately). The charging screen information is automatically updated every time the ignition is turned on and with every 12 miles of driving.

The NissanConnect EV system (no-charge subscription required), which is also standard on SV and SL grades, allows remote connection to the vehicle, providing monitoring of battery state-of-charge, start charging event control and turning on the heating and air conditioning system prior to entering the vehicle.

LEAF is assembled in the U.S. at Nissan's Vehicle Assembly Plant in Smyrna, Tennessee, with battery assembly taking place next door in Nissan's Battery Assembly Plant.

The 2017 LEAF is on sale now at Nissan dealers nationwide.

The engine's new Direct Injection Gasoline™ (DIG) system, which is also utilized on the all-new flagship Nissan Armada full-size SUV, provides better wide-open throttle performance and emissions performance (versus a non-direct-injection system). Horsepower for the new V6 increases to 284 hp (from the previous 260 hp) and torque is now rated at 259 lb-ft (up from 240 lb-ft).

While adding more horsepower and torque, Pathfinder fuel economy remains 20 mpg city, 27 mpg highway and 23 mpg combined (2WD models) (estimated). Maximum towing capacity has increased by 1,000 pounds to a best-in-class1 6,000 pounds (when properly equipped).

The new 2017 Pathfinder is available in 4WD and 2WD drive configurations and in four models: S, SV, SL and Platinum. Key changes for 2017 include:

  • Bold new front end with signature LED boomerang headlights with LED Daytime Running Lights
  • Available LED headlights (Platinum grade)
  • New Nissan signature V-Motion grille design
  • Auto on/off headlights with auto hazard system (linked to front wipers with twilight detection) – standard on SV models and above

  • New Direct Injection Gasoline™ (DIG) system, which provides better wide-open throttle performance and emissions performance (versus a non-direct-injection system) by reducing engine knock, improving combustion stability and offering precise injection control
  • Aluminum block and heads with new mirror bore cylinder coating (reduces weight and friction)
  • Third-generation Xtronic transmission (similar to Nissan Maxima design) with D-Step Logic Control, which simulates shifts, giving a more natural acceleration feeling without holding a high rpm constant, letting rpms build as speed builds; high final gear ratio of 5.250
  • Fuel economy of 20 mpg city, 27 mpg highway and 23 mpg combined (2WD models) (estimated)
  • Increased towing capacity – up to 6,000-pounds (when properly equipped) for all grade levels (SAE J2807 compliant)

2017 Nissan GT-R

2017 Nissan GT-R Press Kit

The new 2017 GT-R is highlighted by a fresh look inside and out, as well as major driving performance enhancements and key new features. All told, this is the most significant change to Nissan's flagship supercar since it was introduced in the U.S. as a 2009 model.

Key changes for 2017 include:

  • A thoroughly made-over exterior with a new "V-motion" grille; a new hood, featuring pronounced character lines and reinforced structure to enhance stability during high-speed driving; and new rear bodywork with functional side air vents next to the quad exhaust tips
  • In the cabin is a redesigned, premium interior befitting a high-performance supercar, including: a new instrument panel wrapped in a single, seamless piece of hand-selected Nappa leather; lighter front seats with a new side-support construction method that provides greater comfort and support on long drives
  • The center dashboard layout is improved and simplified; integrated navigation and audio controls reduce the number of switches from 27 in the previous car to just 11 in the 2017 model
  • An 8-inch capacitive touch-panel monitor replaces the 7-inch one and now features large icons on the display screen
  • A new Display Command control on the carbon-fiber center console allows easy operation
  • Shift paddles are now mounted to the new steering wheel, allowing drivers to change gears mid-turn without having to take their hands off the wheel
  • GT-R's award-winning 3.8-liter V6 24-valve twin-turbocharged engine – each unit handcrafted by its own Takumi technician – now delivers 565 horsepower at 6800 rpm and 467 lb-ft of torque, representing an increase of 20 HP and 4 lb-ft, respectively, from last year's model
  • The increases, which are the result of individual ignition-timing control of the cylinders and extra boost from the turbochargers, allow the new GT-R to possess superior acceleration in the mid- to high-ranges (3200 rpm and above)
  • Thoroughly refined 6-speed dual-clutch transmission features smoother shifts and less noise
  • New lightweight titanium exhaust system and Active Sound Enhancement (ASE) enhance the driving experience, especially during acceleration – standard on GT-R Premium grade; new sound absorption materials, including an acoustic glass windshield, help keep the cabin quieter at all speeds
  • A more rigid body structure and retuned suspension allow the GT-R's tires, wrapped around new 20-inch 15-spoke forged aluminum wheels manufactured by RAYS®, to hold the road surface better, giving it increased stability through quick lateral transitions and higher overall cornering speed
  • New available "Blaze Metallic" orange exterior color, applied with a special four-stage process
  • New Rakuda Tan semi-aniline leather interior color (also available in Amber Red and Ivory)
  • Standard NissanConnectSM with Navigation, Mobile Apps and Services that allows smartphone users to remotely lock or unlock the car doors, receive notifications if the alarm is triggered, summon emergency services or track the car if it is stolen

2017 Nissan GT-R NISMO Press Kit

Now in its third year of availability, the race-oriented 2017 Nissan GT-R NISMO delivers factory-tuned supercar dynamics with advanced aerodynamics and ultra-precise handling. The GT-R NISMO features a specially-tuned hand-built 600 horsepower 3.8-liter V6 24-valve twin-turbocharged engine with 481 lb-ft of torque.

Key changes for 2017 include:

  • New NISMO-specific front end, featuring an aggressive new fascia with a dark chrome "V-motion" grille (enlarged to collect more air, without diminishing the car's aerodynamic performance); a new significantly reinforced hood to help reduce deformation at extremely high speeds
  • A front fascia featuring layers of carbon-fiber sheets carefully overlapped to achieve the ideal amount of stiffness; side skirts designed to improve airflow around the vehicle and generate a high level of downforce, while at the same time, direct air around the wheelhouse to enhance aerodynamics
  • Similar to GT-R Premium, the GT-R NISMO also receives a refreshed interior; for NISMO models, the redesigned dashboard and steering wheel are covered with high-quality Alcantara® suede
  • The center stack layout has been improved and simplified, with the number of integrated navigation and audio controls reduced from 27 switches in the previous model to only 11 in the 2017 version
  • An enlarged 8-inch touch-panel monitor featuring large icons on the display screen make it simple to use, while a new Display Command control on the carbon fiber center console allows easy operation without having to touch the monitor
  • Unique to GT-R NISMO are leather-appointed Recaro® seats with red synthetic suede inserts
  • Upgraded performance thanks in part to the stiffened body structure, which allowed engineers to further refine the GT-R NISMO's shock absorbers, springs and stabilizers, which, when combined with the car's added downforce, result in a better handling car than the previous model

2017 Nissan TITAN Crew Cab V8 Press Kit

The 2017 Nissan TITAN half-ton pickup is the standard bearer of Nissan's family of TITAN pickups. It is projected to be the highest volume TITAN, competing in the heart of the full-size pickup segment.

The TITAN half-ton has the same aggressive style as the TITAN XD, but is about a foot shorter in wheelbase. The XD and half-ton models share the same cabs, but while they offer similar ruggedness and durability, the TITAN half-ton's chassis is completely different than XD.

The new TITAN half-ton Crew Cab is 228.1 inches long – 14.7 inches less than the larger TITAN XD Crew Cab (242.8 in.). The 2017 TITAN half-ton initially launched as a Crew Cab model in August, and a Single Cab variant went on sale in November. A King Cab model, which was unveiled at the 2017 Chicago Auto Show in February, will go on sale later this spring. Three bed lengths are available – 5.5, 6.5 and 8.0 feet, with options varying by model – along with five grade levels, S, SV, SL, PRO-4X and Platinum Reserve (grade level availability depends on body style).

The new TITAN half-ton is powered by Nissan's 5.6-liter Endurance® V8 gasoline engine, assembled in Decherd, Tenn., which produces 390 horsepower. Torque is rated at 394 lb-ft. The engine, which is also featured in the TITAN XD V8 Gas, is mated to a 7-speed automatic transmission.

All 2017 TITAN and TITAN XD models are covered by "America's Best Truck Warranty"1 – featuring bumper-to-bumper coverage of 5-years/100,000-miles, whichever comes first.

2017 Nissan TITAN – Key Facts and Figures

Nissan continues to expand the TITAN full-size pickup lineup with the arrival of Crew Cab half-ton models powered by the new 5.6-liter Endurance® V8 gasoline engine. The TITAN half-ton is offered in a roomy Crew Cab body in both 4x4 and 4x2 configurations and in five well-equipped grade levels: S, SV, PRO-4X, SL and Platinum Reserve.

In addition to the Crew Cab model – which went on sale in August – a Single Cab variant went on sale in November, and a King Cab model will follow in spring 2017.

The TITAN half-ton has the same aggressive style of the TITAN XD, but is built on a completely separate chassis and is about a foot shorter in wheelbase (139.8 inches versus XD's 151.6 inches). At 228.1 inches in length, it is 14.7 inches shorter than the larger TITAN XD (242.8 inches). TITAN and TITAN XD share the same cabs, and both offer similar ruggedness, durability and innovative interior, bed and driving aid features.

Assembled in Decherd, Tenn., the new engine features 390 horsepower (up from 317) and 394 lb-ft of torque (up from 385), along with Nissan's advanced VVEL (Variable Valve Event & Lift) technology. The engine also features Direct Injection Gas (DIG™) technology, which provides better wide-open throttle performance and improved fuel economy and emissions performance (versus a non-direct-injection system) by reducing engine knock, improving combustion stability and offering precise injection control.

All 2017 TITAN and TITAN XD models are covered by "America's Best Truck Warranty"1 – featuring bumper-to-bumper coverage of 5-years/100,000-miles, whichever comes first.

The 2017 Nissan TITAN Crew Cab is available in five well-equipped trim levels – S, SV, PRO-4X, SL and Platinum Reserve. All are offered with a choice of 4x2 or 4x4 drive configurations, except for the PRO-4X model, which is available exclusively as a 4x4.

The 2017 Nissan TITAN Single Cab is offered in S and SV 4x2 and 4x4 models. The upcoming TITAN King Cab will be available in S, SV (4x2, 4x4) and PRO-4X (4x4) grades.

2017 Nissan TITAN XD Diesel – Key Facts and Figures

Nissan is challenging the status quo in the full-size pickup segment in North America with a "powerful precision tool" for hard-working, hard-playing buyers – the 2017 Nissan TITAN. The flagship, the TITAN XD Crew Cab, debuted at the 2015 North American International Auto Show as the first of three cab configurations, two frame sizes, three powertrain offerings and five grade levels available in the Nissan TITAN lineup.

The 2017 Nissan TITAN XD Diesel shakes up the highly competitive full-size pickup segment with a bold design and capabilities that stake out a unique position in the segment between traditional heavy-duty and light-duty entries. It offers the effortless towing and hauling of the larger, more expensive heavy-duty trucks – including an available maximum towing capacity of 12,640 pounds and maximum payload capacity of 2,420 pounds (when properly equipped) – yet has the fuel-efficiency and affordability closer to a half-ton pickup.

Like all 2017 TITAN models, the TITAN XD is covered by "America's Best Truck Warranty"1 on its 2017 TITAN and TITAN XD full-size pickups – featuring bumper-to-bumper coverage of 5-years/100,000-miles, whichever comes first.

For the 2017 model year, TITAN XD adds a new Single Cab version to the existing Crew Cab body configuration. Also for the new model year are several new option packages, including the SV Leather Package, Texas TITAN Edition, SL Chrome Package and Platinum Reserve Bed Utility Package. A new TITAN XD King Cab joins the lineup in spring 2017.

The TITAN XD Diesel is anchored by a powerful Cummins® 5.0L V8 Turbo Diesel rated at 310 horsepower and a hefty 555 lb-ft of torque. The Cummins diesel is the first commercial application of the new Cummins M2 two-stage turbo system, which helps reduce traditional turbo-lag through precision balancing between high-pressure and low-pressure turbos. The patented Rotary Turbine Control provides solid performance across the powerband and manages exhaust gas temperatures. Helping handle the power and torque of the engine is a heavy-duty 6-speed Aisin A466ND automatic transmission developed and tuned exclusively for the TITAN XD.

The 2017 Nissan TITAN XD Crew Cab Diesel is available in five well-equipped trim levels – S, SV, PRO-4X, SL and Platinum Reserve. All are offered with a choice of 4x2 or 4x4 drive configurations, except for the PRO-4X model, which is available exclusively as a 4x4.

The 2017 Nissan TITAN XD Single Cab Diesel is offered in S and SV grade levels. In 4x4 and 4x4 drive configurations.

The Nissan TITAN XD Diesel is assembled in Canton, Mississippi, with engines assembled in Indiana.

2017 Nissan TITAN XD Gas – Key Facts and Figures

Nissan continues to expand the TITAN XD lineup with the arrival of a range of Crew Cab models powered by the new 5.6-liter Endurance® V8 gasoline engine. The gasoline engine-equipped TITAN XD joins the award-winning TITAN XD with Cummins® 5.0L V8 Turbo Diesel.

Assembled in Decherd, Tenn., the new 5.6-liter Endurance® V8 engine features four-valves per cylinder, Variable Valve Event & Lift and Direct Injection, and is rated at 390 horsepower @ 5,800 rpm and 394 lb-ft of torque @ 4,000 rpm.

The new engine features 390 horsepower (up from 317) and 394 lb-ft of torque (up from 385), along with Nissan's advanced VVEL (Variable Valve Event & Lift) technology, which combines hydraulic-controlled variable valve timing and electronically controlled variable valve lift on the intake and exhaust sides to provide high performance and crisp response. Throttle response is enhanced by directly controlling the intake valve, rather than using the traditional method of controlling intake with a throttle valve, and valve timing and opening with non-variable camshafts.

The new engine also features Direct Injection Gas (DIG™) technology, which provides better wide-open throttle performance and improved fuel economy and emissions performance (versus a non-direct-injection system) by reducing engine knock, improving combustion stability and offering precise injection control. An 11.2:1 compression ratio is provided by a new piston design, aiding overall engine efficiency and performance (previous Titan: 9.8:1) and a Multi Control Valve (MCV) assists in managing the engine's thermal efficiency better than a traditional thermostat.

Like all 2017 TITAN models, the TITAN XD Gas is covered by "America's Best Truck Warranty"1 on its 2017 TITAN and TITAN XD full-size pickups – featuring bumper-to-bumper coverage of 5-years/100,000-miles, whichever comes first.

For the 2017 model year, TITAN XD also adds a new Single Cab version to the existing Crew Cab body configuration. A new TITAN XD King Cab joins the lineup in spring 2017.

The 2017 Nissan TITAN XD Single Cab Gas is offered in S and SV grade levels. In 4x4 and 4x4 drive configurations.

The Nissan TITAN XD is assembled in Canton, Mississippi, with engines assembled in Indiana and Tennessee (5.0L V8 Turbo Diesel and gasoline V8 respectively).
