Edging out all other midsize sedans with an overall retained value of 47.3 percent, Altima was judged to have the highest projected residual value after five years, based on their average "cash" True Market Value® (TMV®) price during their first five months in the market.
Earlier this year, the prestigious website named Altima, Nissan's top-selling vehicle, one of its "2014 Most Popular Midsize Cars" as well as a "Top Rated Vehicle."
For this year's Best Retained Value® Awards, each model's segment was determined by its body type, the size of the vehicle within its body type segment and the model's competitive luxury/non-luxury class. Awards were based on each automaker's 2014 models that launched prior to the end of 2013.
