Nissan and Infiniti Dealerships Open in Historic San Francisco Location

Nissan and Infiniti Open New Dealerships in San Francisco

Nissan and Infiniti have expanded into a key-sales market known for a strong interest in leading-edge technology and environmentally smart products with two new dealerships in the heart of downtown San Francisco.

Located on Van Ness Ave., one of the Bay Area's most famous and well-traveled automotive retail corridors, the dealerships are owned and operated by one of the largest automotive retailers in the world - Penske Automotive Group.

A grand opening for the new Infiniti of San Francisco and Nissan of San Francisco was held on May 2. Both dealerships encompass 200,000 square-feet of a multi-story facility with separate Nissan and Infiniti showrooms.  Renovation of the building, also known as the historic Ellis Brooks Building, took nearly a year.

"The Bay Area, and San Francisco specifically, is a really big opportunity for us.  The building is absolutely perfect and will raise our profile in the downtown area," said Brian Carolin, senior vice president, Sales and Marketing, Nissan North America, Inc.  "The experience people will have in this facility will be second to none.  We could not be more excited about this opening."

Offering multiple levels of indoor vehicle storage, and separate brand showrooms, the building features state-of-the-art sales, service, and parts operations, as well as an on-site paint and collision-repair center.

San Francisco is a key market for zero-emission vehicles like the Nissan LEAF, often called the EV capital of the world.  It is also a strong area for luxury car sales including Infiniti - which just launched the all-new Infiniti JX luxury crossover this spring.
