Nissan appoints David Englen regional vice president of new Mountain region

NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Nissan today announced the appointment of David Englen as the new regional vice president, Mountain Region, effective immediately. Englen reports to Fred Diaz, senior vice president, U.S. Sales & Marketing and Operations.

After achieving record fiscal year 2014 sales in the U.S., Nissan is reorganizing its regional sales organization into eight geographic territories – including the new Mountain Region – to better meet the local needs of its dealer network and customers.

Englen is now responsible for regional sales and marketing, incentive spending, distribution, dealer network development, financial controls and dealer and customer satisfaction across the Mountain region, which includes North Dakota, South Dakota, Nebraska, Wyoming, Utah, Colorado, Arizona and New Mexico.

"David brings a wealth of experience in the areas of field sales, marketing, dealer network development, aftersales and dealer relations to the new Nissan Mountain Region," said Diaz. "Nissan needs strong leadership like David to ensure we work with our dealer partners to achieve our midterm goal of 10 percent U.S. market share while continuing to increase dealer franchise value."

Englen joins Nissan from Fiat Chrysler Automobiles where he had 25 years of experience in sales, marketing and dealer network development. He earned bachelor’s degrees in political science, history and economics from the University of Colorado at Boulder.
