Nissan Do Brasil Grows 163% In June

São José dos Pinhais – June was a historic month for Nissan do Brasil with record June sales of 13,275 units. In a strong market where industry sales increased 19% versus June 2011, Nissan do Brasil had very strong sales results with sales 163% higher than from June 2011, with a market share of 3.9%.

Nissan is leading sales volume in Sao Paulo, with a 6.7% market share. In other major markets, Nissan do Brasil has achieved outstanding shares: 6.3% in Recife; 5.9% in Curitiba and 5% in Rio de Janeiro.

“June was historic. Nissan reached volumes that have led us to a brand new level. Most of our models had grown significantly in comparison with 2011. These marks are results of the  excellent performance that Nissan has achieved in the Brazilian market,” says president of Nissan do Brasil Christian Meunier.

Highlights of the Nissan in June:

  • March - With 5,121 units sold in the country, the March achieved record sales in June.

  • Versa - Versa reached sales record with 2,741 units registered.

  • Tiida Family - With 1,355 units sold, Tiida Hatch registered a sales record in June with an increase of 38% versus same month last year. In Sao Paulo, Rio de Janeiro and Curitiba, the model was the best selling in the segment, reaching a market share of 18.0%, 18.5%, and 25.1%, respectively. Tiida Sedan sold 107 units.

  • Frontier - Frontier pickup sold 1,542 units, 29% more than in June 2011.

  • Livina Family - The Livinia line-up sold 1,425 units, with XGear reaching record sales of 430 units in June, and Grand Livina recording 12.3% market share.

  • Sentra - Sentra sold 972 units in June, up 23% from last year.
