Nissan do Brazil Announces New Executives for Marketing & Sales and Corporate Communications

Nissan announces today two new appointments for its Brazilian operation. Effective on Sept. 9, Sergio Ferreira joins Nissan as vice president, Sales and Marketing, Nissan Brazil (NBA), reporting to both José Muñoz – senior vice president, Sales & Marketing, Customer Quality and Dealer Network Development - and Francois Dossa – NBA President. Sergio, who will be based in the Rio de Janeiro office, has a strong experience in the automotive sector, as a managing director, Sales and Marketing at Chrysler and previously, Fiat and Michelin in Brazil, throughout South America and Greece. He holds a bachelor’s degree in Economics from St. Olaf College, Northfield, Minnesota and an MBA from Fundação Getulio Vargas, located in Brazil. Currently vice president, Sales and Marketing, NBA, Manuel De La Guardia, will return to Nissan Europe.

The Corporate Communications department will receive its own director. João Veloso will join NBA as the new director for the area. Joao will be located at the NBA headquarters in Rio de Janeiro and report to both Francois Dossa and David Reuter – Vice President, Corporate Communications. Joao has held various roles of increasing responsibility in media relations and corporate communications, most recently with Fiat and Delphi in Brazil. He holds a degree in Journalism from Universidade Santa Cecília dos Bandeirantes, Santos.
