Nissan Names Fernando Menezes Communications Director in Brazil

Fernando Menezes

FRANKLIN, Tenn. - Nissan Americas today announced the appointment of Fernando Menezes as director, corporate communications, Nissan Brazil, as the company continues its business growth throughout Brazil and the Americas region as a whole.

Menezes, currently general manager, Nissan corporate and brand communications, Nissan Europe, will report to Francois Dossa, vice president, administration and finance, Nissan Brazil, and David Reuter, vice president, corporate communications, Nissan Americas.

As Nissan continues to experience rapid growth in the world's fourth-largest automotive market, Menezes will lead communications efforts for the company and also be responsible for Nissan's Rio 2016 Olympics sponsorship. "We are happy to welcome Fernando back to Brazil where his comprehensive knowledge of Nissan, the market here and his wealth of communications experience will help us achieve our market share goal of 5 percent by 2016. Brazil is an important engine of growth in Latin America, and Fernando's communications leadership will help us tell our story of expansion and investment,' said Dossa.

Menezes joined Nissan in 2002 as manager, communications, Nissan Brazil, and moved to Nissan Motor Company, Ltd., in 2008 to become general manager, communications, Latin America, Africa, Middle East, China and Southeast Asia. In April 2010, he was named general manager, global product and technology communications, and in October 2010, he moved to Switzerland to assume his current role.
