Nissan North America Opens New Jersey Training Center

SOMERSET, N.J. - Today, Nissan North America, Inc. (NNA) will celebrate the opening of its new New Jersey Service Training Center located in Somerset, NJ. The training center - located at 625 Pierce St., Somerset, N.J. - will provide dealership technicians training on both Nissan and Infiniti products in the Northeast region along with increased capacity for core curriculum, advanced classes and new model classes.

The open house ceremony will be hosted by Paul Badger, Nissan Training Department, with officials from the town of Somerset, the Franklin Township Chamber of Commerce and representatives from Nissan and Infiniti's New Jersey area dealerships are also expected to attend. Bill Krueger, Vice Chairman of Nissan Americas and Al Castignetti, VP & GM Nissan Division of North America will also be in attendance.

"Both Nissan and Infiniti continue to bring forward exciting new products to the market and our consistent focus on ensuring a quality ownership experience to our customers will be strengthened by this new facility," said Mario Polit, Nissan's Director of Training. "This new state of the art facility will support the launch of 5 new vehicles in the U.S. over the next several months in addition to ongoing core curriculum requirements. Technical training is part of the foundation of Nissan's ongoing effort to improve customer satisfaction."

Covering more than 31,000 square feet of operational area, the center includes five training classrooms for technical training, a 28 bay workshop with 14 vehicle lifts, two bays dedicated to alignment & wheel service, component repair room for engine and transmission training and a large classroom for a variety of technical, sales and fixed ops classes. The New Jersey facility is one of eleven Nissan and Infiniti Training Centers in the U.S. supporting over 230 Nissan and Infiniti dealerships and over 1,800 total Nissan and Infiniti technicians. New technical centers are also scheduled to open later this year in Washington DC and Chicago.
