Nissan production, sales and export results for November 2014

YOKOHAMA, Japan – Nissan Motor Co., Ltd. today announced its production, sales and export figures for November 2014.

1. Production

Nissan's global production in November decreased 5.9% year-on-year to 434,202 units.

Production in Japan decreased 21.1% year-on-year to 62,806 units, mainly due to the shift of production of the new Murano from Japan to the United States.

Production outside of Japan decreased 2.8% year-on-year to 371,396 units.

In the U.S., production increased 2.1% year-on-year to 74,953 units, mainly due to increased demand for the Rogue, marking an all-time record for the month of November.

In Mexico, production increased 19.4% year-on-year to 67,780 units, mainly due to strong demand for the Sentra and March, marking an all-time record for the month of November.

In the U.K., production decreased 7.7% year-on-year to 45,052 units.

In Spain, production decreased 3.7% year-on-year to 10,228 units, mainly due to discontinued production of Nissan Primastar and Renault Trafic, despite increased production of the new Pulsar.

In China, production decreased 16.3% year-on-year to 114,716 units.

Production in other regions increased 6.1% year-on-year to 58,667 units.

2. Sales

Global sales decreased 1.8% year-on-year to 442,466 units.

Including mini-vehicles, Nissan sold 46,081 units in Japan, down 14.0% year-on-year.

In Japan, vehicle registrations in November decreased 24.0% year-on-year to 27,294 units.

Mini-vehicle sales in Japan increased 6.4% year-on-year to 18,787 units, marking an all-time record for the month of November.

Sales outside of Japan decreased 0.1% year-on-year to 396,385 units.

Sales in the U.S. decreased 3.1% year-on-year to 103,188 units.

Sales in Mexico increased 18.6% year-on-year to 28,528 units, marking an all-time sales record for the month of November, mainly due to strong demand for the March and Versa. Nissan has been the sales leader in Mexico for 66 consecutive months.

In Europe, sales increased 24.7% year-on-year to 65,427 units, mainly due to increased sales of the new X-Trail, new Pulsar, and new Datsun on-DO for the Russian market, marking an all-time record for the month of November.

In China, sales were down 11.8% year-on-year to 116,167 units.

Sales in other regions decreased 0.7% year-on-year to 74,219 units.

3. Japan Exports

Nissan's exports in November decreased 22.4% year-on-year to 40,313 units.
