Nissan Publishes "Blue Citizenship Stories"

YOKOHAMA, Japan - Nissan Motor Co., Ltd. today issued the English version of its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) report titled "Blue Citizenship Stories 2012: Toward Our Vision of Enriching People's Lives." The report, which outlines Nissan's CSR philosophy and activities, is available on Nissan's corporate website here. The Japanese version was released on June 26.

Blue Citizenship is Nissan's CSR platform which expresses the company's commitment towards to the realization of a sustainable society. It covers three key areas:

  • Sustainability: focusing on environmental activities;
  • Mobility: addressing safety efforts;
  • Community: to help foster the future generations that will lead society, and humanitarian support.

"Our business activities contribute toward developing a sustainable and mobile society, and Blue Citizenship—with its focuses on the environment, safety and community—represents our contribution to this goal," said Nissan CEO Carlos Ghosn. "Blue Citizenship is a comprehensive platform for all our efforts to achieve this goal. We are committed to realizing our vision of Enriching People's Lives."

Nissan will issue the Sustainability Report 2012 in early August. Published annually, the report contains detailed information about Nissan's CSR activities.
