Nissan reports April 2016 sales for Europe

ROLLE, Switzerland – Nissan announced today European sales for April of 52,596 units (Nissan and Datsun), representing a market share of 3.2 percent. Calendar year sales to date total 258,987 units with a market share of 3.9 percent.

April and Calendar year highlights:

• Sales in the UK totaled 10,119 units with a market share of 4.7 percent. Calendar year sales total 56,706 units and market share is 5.25 percent.
• Sales in Germany totaled 6,215 units recording the best April result in the market since 1998, with a market share of 1.9 percent. Calendar year sales to date total 27,193 units and market share is 2.3 percent.
• Sales in Spain totaled 4,863 units and a market share of 4 percent - Nissan Spain's best April result since 2008. Calendar year sales to date total 21,668 units and market share is 4.9 percent.
• Sales in France totaled 6,530 units and a market share of 3 percent. Calendar year sales total 27,973 units and market share is 3.4 percent.
• Nissan in Italy recorded sales of 5,873 units in April with a market share of 3.2 percent an increase of 7.1 percent on April 2015. Calendar year sales to date total 24,233 and market share is 3.3 percent.
• Datsun sales in Russia totaled 815 units in April with 5,288 units sold from January to April 2016.
