Nissan Revs Up Predators Fans with NHL Playoff Bonus Cash Incentive on New 2012 Altimas

As the Nashville Predators skate closer to the Stanley Cup, Nissan dealers are bringing victory close to home by offering a special incentive for Nashville area residents on the purchase of a new 2012 Nissan Altima.  The $500 Bonus Cash offer begins today as the Predators prepare to take to the ice against the Phoenix Coyotes and will run through the day after the last post-season game the Predators play.  The 2012 Altima provides drivers an innovative combination of quality, performance, sporty design, and exceptional value in a mid-sized sedan, and Nissan is pleased to offer this cash incentive for 2012 Altima Sedans and Coupes.

"At Nissan, we're enthusiastic supporters of the Predators, but we wanted to find a way to extend that support to the Nashville community and give back to fans for their dedication," said Jon Brancheau, vice president, Nissan Marketing.  "It doesn't get more exciting then to have the Predators gunning for the Stanley Cup and it seemed natural for our Nashville Nissan dealers to harness this moment and turn it into something people can literally drive home.  We would love to see the Pred's make Nashville Stanley's home as well!"

In October 2011, Nissan and the Nashville Predators announced an exclusive partnership, furthering the automaker's flourishing presence in Middle Tennessee.  The company has called Tennessee home to its corporate headquarters for all operations covering all of North, Central and South America since 2006 when Nissan moved to Nashville from California.  Now based 15 minutes south of Nashville, in the suburb of Franklin, Nissan is one of the state's largest employers and aligns with the Predators as one of the state's most recognizable brands.

"We value Nissan's continued dedication to the Predators and Bridgestone Arena," Predators CEO Jeff Cogen said.  "We are proud to maintain a positive partnership with a company that is committed to Nashville and Middle Tennessee; Nissan is a valued corporate partner and a model corporate citizen. Partners like these play a huge role in our success as a team both on and off the ice."

The Predators will face the Phoenix Coyotes in Phoenix on Friday, April 27.  The team advanced to the Conference Semi-finals after defeating the Detroit Red Wings in the quarterfinals 4 games to 1.

About the Nashville Predators
Since becoming the National Hockey League's 27th team on May 4, 1998, the Nashville Predators have evolved from a young expansion franchise to a model of consistency as one of just five teams to reach the postseason seven of the last eight seasons and one of three to post seven consecutive 40-win seasons.  Nashville's 698 points since the beginning of the 2005-06 season are fifth-most in the NHL.  On the ice, the Predators are led by the defensive duo of 2011 and 2012 Norris Trophy (top defenseman) nominee Shea Weber and U.S. Olympian Ryan Suter, as well as 2011 and 2012 Vezina Trophy (top goaltender) nominee Pekka Rinne.  Off it, the club is a model of consistency with 2011 and 2012 GM of the Year finalist David Poile and 2010 and 2011 Jack Adams (top coach) finalist Barry Trotz being the only holders of their respective positions in franchise history.  The Predators are also proud to support the Nashville community that supports them, with the Nashville Predators Foundation raising more than $3 million in grants and donations for area charity organizations.
