LOS ANGELES – Nissan is bringing a wide-ranging collection of innovative vehicles to the Los Angeles Convention Center for this year's Los Angeles Auto Show, including the North American debut of the 2014 Nissan GT-R supercar and the Nissan Hi-Cross Concept.

Also making its first West Coast appearance is the advanced Nissan DeltaWing, which has shaken up the status quo in endurance sports car competition with its radical body design and technology that emphasizes light weight and high fuel efficiency.  In addition, the full lineup of 2013 Nissan vehicles – led by the just introduced Altima, Pathfinder and Sentra – will be on display during the run of the Auto Show, Nov. 30th through Dec. 9th.

"The dramatic Nissan Hi-Cross Concept continues Nissan's exploration of pushing the envelope in a segment, while at the same time staying true to the needs of the customer," said Al Castignetti, vice president and general manager, Nissan Division, Nissan North America, Inc., who will be speaking during the Nissan press conference on the afternoon of Nov. 28th.  "Los Angeles is a terrific market for Nissan performance vehicles, so we're also pleased to debut the 2014 Nissan GT-R here and share with racing fans the amazing Nissan DeltaWing racer."

The Nissan Hi-Cross Concept combines sculpted style with everyday utility.  It features an advanced "one motor, two clutch" gasoline/electric hybrid system and a futuristic seven-passenger interior.

The 2014 Nissan GT-R is again anchored by its world-class, hand-built 545-horsepower twin-turbocharged 3.8-liter V6 and imposing physical appearance.  For the new model year the GT-R receives a number of enhancements, including an exclusive new premium interior option.

In contrast to the GT-R's legendary "Godzilla" style muscle, the Nissan DeltaWing features a fuel-efficient turbocharged 1.6-liter Nissan engine, rocket-shaped aerodynamic body and lightweight components to gain its endurance racing advantage through exceptional handling and fewer pit stops.  The Nissan DeltaWing made a promising run at the famed 24 Hours of Le Mans last July before being struck by another race car and retiring.  It returned to competition at the Petit Le Mans near Atlanta and finished an impressive 5th overall.

"The Los Angeles Auto Show will also be the first chance for many people to see our all-new, totally redesigned Altima, Pathfinder and Sentra in person," Castignetti added.  "All three vehicles are off to impressive sales starts, with each stepping up in innovation, style, comfort and fuel efficiency versus the previous models.  I invite everyone in Southern California to come see what 'Innovation that excites' is all about during the Show."
