Renezeder Still King of the Dirt, Breaks Streak at Toole

TOOLE, Utah – You can't keep a good man - or a good truck – down for too long. Carl Renezeder's legendary career in off-road trucks has seen a lot of streaks, but most of them involve winning. The seven-time off road truck champion has been sitting on 97 career wins since last November, and it has been testing his patience.

Renezeder and his PRO4 Unlimited Nissan Titan had to earn the win the old fashioned way against some solid competition at Rounds seven and eight of the Lucas Off Road Racing Series (LOORS) in Toole, Utah. Kyle LeDuc had won six straight PRO4 races, and his brother Todd was sitting up front when the green flag dropped. Renezeder, starting third, quickly passed the second place truck and set sights on Todd LeDuc. Renezeder hounded LeDuc, with the Titan appearing to be the stronger truck.  But the crafty veteran LeDuc held his lines and made passing difficult.  When LeDuc finally bobbled off line, Renezeder slipped underneath and powered away to the elusive victory number 98.

"I'm definitely excited about this win, but I'm also relieved," said Renezeder. "We finally avoided the bad luck we've had this season, and I had a great time battling with Todd. Let's hope this is a sign of better things to come for this team."

Sunday's PRO4 Unlimited race didn't produce a podium finish, but could have been the weekend's finest display of the seven-time champ's skill and determination. After a spin on lap one and a flat tire, Renezeder blasted right back into the hunt in the Nissan Titan, picking off several spot to just miss the podium in fourth at race end.

Sunday's PRO2 Unlimited race found Renezeder in third at the start in his PRO2 Titan.  In what proved to be a wild, contact-filled race, Carl was able to hold his ground throughout and made it to the podium in third position.

With win number 98 in the books, Team Renezeder sets its sights on the magic 100 with a social media contest that will allow a lucky fan to take some hot laps around the track with Carl and the monster Titan. Details at:
