The Renault-Nissan Alliance Brings Zero-Emission Mobility to TEDGlobal

EDINBURGH, Scotland – Some of the world's greatest thinkers are gathering at TEDGlobal in Edinburgh this week to discuss some of the biggest issues facing the world, and while they're here they will discover how the Renault-Nissan Alliance has started the electric vehicle revolution with the aim of delivering sustainable zero-emission mobility for all.

TED (standing for Technology, Entertainment and Design) is an annual set of conferences run by a private non-profit organization called the Sapling Foundation. TED's slogan is always the same: These are "Ideas Worth Spreading."

Conferences are held all around the globe, but for the next four days Scotland's historic capital city will be the setting for a series of inspirational speeches from intellectuals, creative thinkers, artists, singers, monks, a 'gentleman thief,' protesters, politicians, human rights activists and more.

They'll be talking about all manner of subjects from drones to science to sustainability and beyond. The theme of the event is that we "Think Again" by looking at world issues from different angles.

As an official partner of TEDGlobal, the Alliance has a number of EVs on hand to ferry speakers around this beautiful city and to give delegates first hand experience of Renault Zoe, Renault Twizy and Nissan LEAF. The buzz around the event suggests the cars will be very busy indeed.

And we have a special booth at the conference with a cutaway example of the Renault Zoe along with experts on hand to explain how it all works. The booth also has a Recharge Station, where attendees can charge their mobile phones, tablets and lap tops for free and they can also learn how Nissan's innovative LEAF to Home technology allows a fully charged Nissan LEAF to drive all the electrical system in a home.
