Nissan TITAN named TRUCK TREND’s 2017 Pickup Truck of the Year

The all-new 2017 Nissan TITAN full-size pickup is TRUCK TREND’s 2017 Pickup Truck of the Year. TRUCK TREND staff, comprised of an elite group of truck experts from across the nation, selected TITAN over seven competitors following a demanding weeklong test comprised of more than 1,200 miles of performance testing, hauling, towing, fuel economy calculation and off-roading. The award was announced in advance of the 2017 North American International Auto Show.

Today, I experienced the unusual, thrilling sensation of riding in the driver's seat of an autonomous-drive car as it navigated the streets of Sunnyvale in California's Silicon Valley. The car is an advanced prototype Infiniti Q50 sedan capable of handling complex city driving. It has a special California registration for autonomous drive vehicles, and I had to receive a special state license to operate it hands-free.

Nissan Group reports December and 2016 calendar year U.S. sales

Nissan Group today announced total U.S. sales for December 2016 of 152,743 units, an increase of 9.7 percent over the prior year and a December record. For calendar year 2016, Nissan set an all-time record with 1,564,423 total U.S. sales, an increase of 5.4 percent.
