REPORT: Nissan Mexicana Celebrates Four Million Vehicles, Nine Million Engines at Aguascalientes Plant
AGUASCALIENTES, Mexico (July 19, 2013) – Nissan Mexicana is celebrating the four-millionth car made at the company’s plant in Aguascalientes. The model? The new Nissan Note, which went on sale in Mexico this summer. This plant started operations on Nov. 13, 1982, as the engine, component and stamping plant. It began vehicle assembly operations in 1992. Since then, the increase of manufacturing operations and the production volume has grown dramatically.
