Nissan Canada Inc. (NCI) today released April sales of 7,265 units – an increase of 1.1 per cent over April 2010 and up 1.3 per cent calendar year-to-date. Nissan sales accounted for 6,704 units, up 1.9 per cent over the same month last year, while Infiniti sold 561 units, a decrease of 8.5 per cent.

The Nissan Titan had its best April sales ever with 242 units, up 98.4 per cent over April 2010 and contributing to Nissan’s strong year-to-date sales of SUVs and trucks, up 30.8 per-cent year-to-date.

Sentra remains the strongest seller in the Nissan line-up for the third consecutive month with 1,608 vehicles sold, up 9.6 per cent over April 2010. The Nissan Versa and Rogue follow with 1,341 and 1,033 vehicles sold, respectively, while sales of Maxima increased 26.9 per cent over last year.

The Infiniti G line-up accounted for over half of Infiniti sales this month with 306 vehicles sold, followed by the EX35 with 103 units. The all-new for 2011 Infiniti QX56 sold 42 units, a jump of 281.8 per cent over April 2010.
