Nissan Canada Inc. (NCI) today released October sales of 5,970 units – a decrease of 14.2 per cent over October 2010 and down 0.9 per cent calendar year-to-date. Nissan sales accounted for 5,267 units, down 14.1 per cent over the same month last year and an increase of 0.8 per cent calendar year-to-date. Infiniti sold 703 units, a decrease of 14.3 per cent compared to October 2010.

Strong sales of the Nissan Titan continue with its best October ever with 349 units, up 139 per cent over October 2010 and contributing to a 21.1 per-cent increase of year-to-date sales of SUVs and trucks.

Sales of the all-electric Nissan LEAF™ totaled 27 units this month and deliveries of MY11 vehicles will continue in the coming weeks. The Nissan Versa, including the all-new 2012 Sedan, was the strongest seller in the Nissan line-up last month with 1,084 units, up 16.2 per cent over October 2010. The Nissan Rogue followed with 1,068 units, an increase of 2.6 per cent and sales of the Nissan JUKE were strong with 461 units.

The Infiniti QX full-size luxury SUV sold 57 units, an increase of 128 per cent over October 2010 and its strongest October sales on record. Sales of the Infiniti FX were up 11.1 per cent year-over-year with 120 units, and sales of the Infiniti G were 343 units.
