2003 Nissan Frontier Press Kit: At a Glance

Nissan continues its truck innovation in 2003 with over a dozen enhancements, including two segment firsts - available Vehicle Dynamic Control (VDC) and tire pressure monitor system. Other enhancements for 2003 include the addition of 10 horsepower to all normally aspirated V6 models, a new 16-inch six-spoke wheel design, two new exterior colors and the addition of a Supercharged Value Edition (SVE). Once again, Frontier is offered with a factory-installed supercharged version of the 3.3-liter V6. The supercharged engine produces 210 horsepower and 246 (A/T), 231 (M/T) lb-ft torque. Highlights of the 2003 Frontier compact truck include:

Body

• Available in a choice of King Cab, 4-door Frontier Crew Cab or Frontier Crew Cab Long Bed
• Aggressive front fascia, hood, fenders, bumper, grille, headlights, fog lights, tailgate and badging
• Frontier Crew Cab Long Bed features a 74.6-inch bed, the longest bed in the compact crew cab class
  

Engine and Driveline

• Supercharged 3.3-liter SOHC V6 producing a class-leading 210 horsepower and 246 lb-ft of torque (A/T), 231 lb-ft (M/T)- available on S/C and SVE models (both King Cab and Crew Cab)
• 3.3-liter SOHC V6 producing 180 horsepower (an increase of 10 hp) and 202 (an increase of two lb-ft torque) lb-ft of torque at a low 2,800 rpm - standard on Desert Runners, all 4x4 models, Frontier Crew Cab and Frontier Crew Cab Long Bed
• 2.4-liter DOHC 4-cylinder producing 143 horsepower and 154 lb-ft of torque - standard on King Cab XE 4x2
• Improve4d fuel economy of one MPG for all normally aspirated V6 models
• 5-speed manual (XE, S/C, SVE King Cab) or 4-speed electronically controlled automatic transmission (avail XE, std SE, S/C Frontier Crew Cab and Frontier Crew Cab Long Bed)
• New heavy duty alternator (100 amp) with under hood junction outlet for easy wiring of aftermarket accessories (standard on SE and S/C)
• Available limited-slip differential ? optional on XE-V6, standard on SE and S/C models
• Enhanced off-road capability on 4x4 S/C models - raised ground clearance and larger P265/65R17 4x4-oriented BF Goodrich Rugged Trail tires 
• Available Vehicle Dynamic Control (VDC) with Traction Control and tire pressure monitor system
