Utilized same platform as the Datsun pickup truck. The 1000 sedan sold 146 units in the US. from 1959-1960 until replaced by the 1200 sedan which sold 1318 units. Until the early-1960s, Datsuns were heavily influenced by and similar mechanically to the British-made Austins of the period. This sedan has been part of the Heritage Collection since 1983.
